INFLUENCE EARNING of PER SHARE ( EPS ) TO PRICE of SHARE of BANKING COMPANY WHICH ENLIST IN JAKARTA STOCK EXCHANGE

Abstract

A investor have the importance which enough sliver with the condition of company's
finance which is good for taking decision in doing invesment. One of way of which can be done
by a investor to analyse a price of stocks can be done by counting/calculating Earning Per
Share ( EPS). Intention of this research is to know the influence EPS to price of share of
banking company enlisted in Jakarta Stock Exchange.
Sampel fulfilling criterion amount to 13 company taken by using method of Purposive
Sampling during year 1999-2004. To know the clarity of influence EPS to share price hence
method analyse the data which is wearing statistical analysis method. As for method of statistic
analysis used consisted of the regression analysis, correlation analysis, and t test.
Result from this research indicate that the variable EPS own the relation which weak
relative to price of share of banking sector. Others variable EPS in the reality do not have an
effect on by signifikan to price of share of banking companY
